ABOUT Heong
Lay Heong is a performer and visual artist based in Penang, Malaysia. Her practice primarily focuses on installation art and shadow play performances. She promotes the idea of upcycling and encourages the use of reused objects and found materials in her artwork. She has actively participated in community projects and conducted upcycling workshops to spread awareness about upcycling through art.
Currently, she is dedicated to creating shadow plays and installation art using upcycled items and waste materials.
Lay Heong believes that everything on Earth is unique and deserves a chance to be reborn into something meaningful.
